Through their combined experience across Indigenous engagement, global investment, and strategic growth, they ensure the platform remains focused on practical partnership and investable outcomes. Their work extends beyond establishing conversations, helping to translate dialogue into meaningful pathways for collaboration. Together, they provide the stewardship and strategic oversight that underpin the Forum’s continued development and international standing.

Robert Brant

Co-head, Indigenous Projects & Transactions Group, McCarthy Tétrault

Robert Brant is the Co-head of the firm’s Indigenous Projects and Transactions Group at McCarthy Tétrault, advising on complex matters that involve Indigenous participation, major projects, and cross-border transactions. He was formerly the Managing Partner of McCarthy Tétrault’s London office. He has extensive international experience and a strong network of international contacts. 

He also serves as Co-Chair of the Canadian Indigenous Investment Forum, helping shape the Forum’s agenda around practical pathways for partnership and investment readiness. His approach combines commercial precision with a strong understanding of how rights, consent, and governance affect real-world project success.

Mark Magnacca

Founder and CEO, gigCMO

Mark Magnacca is Co-Chair of the Canadian Indigenous Investment Forum, which he co-founded with Robert Brant to bring Indigenous Peoples of Canada together with global institutional investors, asset managers, and major corporates, including some of the world's largest resource and energy companies. Rooted in a shared conviction that the City of London is the right place to unlock that opportunity, the Summit has grown from its inaugural gathering at Mansion House in 2024 into a respected and distinctive forum in the Square Mile.

He is Founder and CEO of gigCMO, a City of London-based consultancy providing senior marketing leadership to growth-stage and international businesses across financial services, energy, and consumer goods, drawing on over 30 years of experience.
